• Am I guaranteed to catch fish? Yes, you are guaranteed to catch fish. Trophy Catfish trips are NOT Guaranteed.
  • Most guides cancel trips due to high winds, do you? No, we fish out of large boats and because we fish for multiple species of fish, we can always catch fish in high wind conditions, and do it safely. 
  • Can children fish? Yes, we encourage it. Children need to be 6yrs old or older to fish with us.
  • Are snacks and drinks provided? No. However, feel free to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed on trips, please do not bring glass bottles.
  • Do I need to bring any tackle? (rods, reels, etc.) No. We have everything you need. However, if you desire to bring your favorite rod and reel, feel free to.
  • I cannot use a open face casting reel, what do I do? We provide easy casting spinning reels w/ adjustable handles to cater to your preference.
  • Can I fish for more than one species of fish during a half day or full day trip? On half day trips we fish for one species. On full day trips we fish for multiple.
  • Do you fish other lakes? Yes, From time to time we will travel to a sister lake to catch fish.
  • Do I need to send a deposit to book trip? Yes, please refer to this page to learn more about deposits...
  • Can my trip be videoed? Yes, we can arrange for your trip to be videoed and edited. Please let us know in advance.
  • I own or someone I know owns a business and wants to bring their employees on a fishing trip. Can this be arranged? Yes. We offer multi-boat trips for ANY size group and make sure clients and employees are entertained.
  • Can I fish a half-day trophy blue catfish trip? Our Trophy Blue Catfish trips are 61/2 day trips. We offer a standard half day blue cat trip, but we do not target trophy fish on those half day trips.
  • Do you accept credit cards? Yes. If you are going to pay with credit card, please let us know in advance so that we can email you a link where you can submit the payment via credit card. We charge a 3% fee on credit card charges.
  • What kind of shoes can I wear on the boat? We fish in many different weather conditions and many different types of shoes are required to be worn. All we ask is that you do not wear cowboy boots. Work boots are fine. Cowboy boots have hard soles and scuff the floor of the boat.
  • Do I need a Texas Fishing License. Yes. You need a freshwater fishing license to fish with us on lake Tawakoni. Get Texas Fishing License Here!
